Recent counts for more. A five star review from four years ago is not evidence about the crew working today.
One customer, one voice, and a burst of reviews in a single day counts for less than the same reviews earned over a month.
Local means local. A business has to actually serve New York City to be listed here. We measure the distance from the business to the city and drop the ones that are really in another market, which is why you will not see a clinic an hour away sitting above the one down the road.
